    hugworthy and cozy

    This is my second boiled wool sport coat. It is the perfect 3 season layer. I just came off a flight and although ostensibly spring is sprung, in the midwest we are still holding our breath. Tonight it is supposed to snow. Onboard the airplane, at times it was cold, so I felt comfortable...and when it warmed up somewhat, wool being breathable kept me from sweating. Having left NYC several years ago, I rarely by Black clothing anymore. Yet, I am glad to have this piece. My one gripe is the other boiled wool coat is olive drab, which I love, yet the cuff on that one was not stitched down and needs to be fixed to match the better quality finishing on my new piece

    Better than I could have hoped

    Nobody makes textiles better than Italy. This jacket is made from Italian wool, and it is cut and sewn in Italy. It shows. Great fit, and quite flexible. While unstructured (there is no canvas and no lining), the material itself has enough weight to keep the jacket in form. As a whole, the jacket works for the situation where you want a more casual sports jacket that also has the ability to "dress up" a bit (inherent in the color black...). Hard to get better than this!
