To celebrate 20 years of Billy Reid, we’re looking back at some of our favorite pieces from the past two decades and giving them a modern refresh. This is the “OG” Quail jacket from the brand, based on a silhouette for quail hunting. The jacket is made using Halley Stevensons fabric with a water-repellent, waxed finish. It’s in a color replicated from the original too. We’ve swapped out the wool liner for a chambray one that’ll breathe better when you’ve got layers underneath. We’re still making it to keep you warm though, with internal pockets that can also hold quail while you’re out. It’s just the right weight to feel comfortable as a top layer without trapping all that heat in.

Perfect Jacket
The Quail Jacket is spot on perfect. It’s the perfect weight for layering and offers great protection in inclement weather. The fit is great and the style is timeless. We have an upcoming vacation in Scotland and the Quail Coat will be perfect.

Xs- 5’7 135. Absolutely love this jacket. All the details are on point. Particularly big fan of the patch on the collar. Jacket feels quite durable.

What a great jacket!
The cotton/poly version of the Quail Jacket was my first purchase from Billy Reid years back. I live in a cooler, wetter climate now. The waxed version is exactly the same fit with and immediately became my go-to outer layer. I sized up to an L, anticipating the laying.
